Anger is a part of every human’s life. But often, we direct our anger toward those who are weaker or dependent on us. For example, an employee may not get angry at their boss, but a junior colleague or a younger family member often bears their frustration.

In reality, anger is not a sudden emotion; it becomes a habit of our behaviour. A person suppresses anger in front of someone stronger but expresses it toward someone weaker. Over time, this habit affects relationships and disturbs mental peace.

Just like bad habits can slow down progress, the habit of anger can make us weaker emotionally and socially. The first step is to recognise your anger and understand its causes. Then, take small, consistent steps to manage it. For example, instead of reacting immediately when anger arises, take a deep breath, observe the situation calmly, and express your thoughts respectfully.

President of Narayan Seva Sansthan Mr. Prashant Agarwal, in his program “Apno se Apni Baat”, emphasises that true strength lies not in expressing anger but in controlling it. Using motivational books, meditation, and the support of good companions can make changing this habit easier. With patience and consistent practice, anger can be transformed into positive, constructive behaviour.

Remember, controlling your anger and communicating with the right person at the right time brings mental peace and strengthens relationships. By gradually replacing the habit of uncontrolled anger with calm, thoughtful responses, we can lead a more balanced and fulfilling life.
